"Saltwater" isn`t only a variation of the Double Hammock but THE possibility to use a very large baby wrap. Here, the focus is placed on the elaborate chest pass. This finish needs a little bit more time to succeed, so your toddler shouldn`t be too impatient.

+ This wrapping technique takes a lot of weight off the baby wearing person due to the chest pass and the two straps which are created. This technique is perfect for toddlers. You can fan out the shoulder straps additionally to spread out the weight of your child optimally.

Step 1

Start with an off-center midpoint of your baby wrap.

Step 2

Create a pouch around your child and hold the strands in its chest height in front of its body.

Step 3

Support your baby onto your forearm. Its legs point to one side, the strands to the other one.

Step 4

Bring your child, inside the pouch, over your shoulder onto your back.

Step 5

Bend forward and split the strands. Slip with your head through the inner strand.

Step 6

Arrange the fabric: The inner edge of the fabric runs on neck height of the child; the outer edge runs at the bottom of your baby.

Step 7

Both strands hang over your shoulders to your front.

Step 8

Create the strap by pushing the fabric between the legs of your child (spread-squat-position).

Step 9

Tighten the fabric strand by strand and fix the shorter one between your knees.

Step 10

Slip with your arm through the longer strand and tighten it.

Step 11

One strand runs horizontal underneath your armpit now, creating the chest pass. The pass runs above the strand fixed before.

Step 12

Bring the longer strand across the leg of your child to your back and fan out the fabric across the baby`s back.

Step 13

Then, tighten the fabric strand by strand by grabbing into the fabric to tighten it from one edge to the other one.

Step 14

One strand runs above, the other one underneath the chest pass.

Step 15

Grab through the strand underneath the chest pass.

Step 16

Pull the other strand through it.

Step 17

Hold them tight.

Step 18

Knurl them once….

Step 19

... to the lower edge of the chest pass.

Step 20

Bring them to both sides.

Step 21

They run across your baby`s legs.

Step 22

Bring them underneath the bottom of your child.

Step 23

Fix both strands with a double knot.
